Mary and The Eucharist
It is so important to incorporate the devotion to Mary and her holy intercession with her son ALONG with a strong devotion to the Eucharist today. Why? Because people who do this are kept free from both error in teachings and from sin. Mary and the Eucharist in the New Testament are directly analogous to the Ark of the Covenant and the Word of God in the Old Testament. The Israelites were always successful when they pursued God in earnest and had the Word of God inside the Ark of the Covenant in front of them while fighting their physical battles with their enemies. Just so, today, those who are actively seeking out Christ and His teachings who have Mary (the Ark of the Covenant) and the Eucharist (The Word of God made Flesh) in front of them, will always be successful in their spiritual battles with satan, who goes around as a roaring lion trying to devour our souls. The more one is devoted to Mary through the Holy Rosary and other Marian devotions, along with a strong devotion to the Eucharist, the tougher time the devil has of getting through to our weaknesses. Temptations that would cause the ordinary man or woman to fall do not have the same effect on one who has Mary and the Eucharist in their heart and mind and soul. They act just like a spacesuit does for astronauts. Astronauts are protected from the harsh environment of space with a spacesuit that provides both pressure and oxygen for their bodies. Just so, Christians are protected from the harsh environment of 21st century secularism and hedonism with Mary and the Eucharist. Mary continually intercedes for us to her Son Jesus, who, in return, provides grace for us through the Eucharist. And the more one is seeking Christ with humility and forgiveness in their heart, the more grace flows through the Eucharist to both our body and our soul.
A lot of misinformed people think that the priest is “re-sacrificing” Christ on the altar at each Mass. But, in fact, the same LastA Supper is being “re-PRESENTED” to us, through time and space, at the altar. It’s like the sun coming up each morning. The sun which we see each dawn is not a new sun; rather, it is the same sun that has been there all along, but has been hidden to us, due to the curvature of the earth. It is, however, re-presented to us each day, just like the Eucharist is re-presented to us each day, as our daily bread from heaven. It’s a wonderful thing to be present at the same Last Supper that the apostles were at! This is the whole meaning of the Greek term “anamnesis” that Jesus used at the Last Supper – “Do THIS in remembrance (anamnesis) of me.” Anamnesis means to make a past sacrifice present today. This is EXACTLY how the Jews view their Passover meal – “WE are being freed from slavery TONIGHT!” It's important to know that the word "remember" in the Bible doesn't mean to just think about a past event. "REMEMBER TO KEEP HOLY THE LORD'S DAY" doesn't mean to roll over on Sunday and remember, "Oh yeah, it's the Lord's Day," and then do nothing else. "REMEMBER TO KEEP HOLY THE LORD'S DAY" means to go and be present with the Lord in His Church! When the good thief on the cross told Jesus to "Remember me in your Kingdom," he didn't mean for Jesus to get to heaven and say, "I remember that thief on the cross. Too bad about him!" No, "Remember me in your Kingdom" is a statement that meant that the good thief was to be present with the Lord in Heaven. And when someone says to "remember your wife on her birthday," one had better do more than just remember her birthday mentally and do nothing else. No, you better celebrate and do something physically with her!
Without
Mary, there would be no Christ. Mary
gave birth to Jesus, the Bread of Life, at Bethlehem, a Jewish name that means
“House of Bread.” She then put Him into a manger, which is a feeding trough for
sheep. This is a foreshadowing of us
receiving Christ in Holy Communion! Jesus was born in a very dirty place, a stable. But his presence in the dirty stable sanctified it. The exact same thing happens when Jesus goes into another dirty place, our sinful bodies - He sanctifies us! Without Christ, satan would get us all. Like a good mother, Mary feeds her children
with her Son in the Eucharist so that we will live forever, and she instills in
us a strong desire to clean up our messes by going to the sacrament of confession.
Churches that do not preach strong devotion to Mary and the Eucharist usually
do not have a lot of people going to confession. Churches that do preach devotion to the
Mother of God and the Eucharist have long waiting lines for the sacrament of reconciliation. Churches that have a strong devotion to both
Mary AND the Eucharist do not go wandering off after modern myths like female
priests, abortion is a good thing, homosexual marriage is OK, etc. Just look at
how protestant churches are incorporating these unbiblical things into their
belief system, all the while claiming that they are “Bible Christians!” Christians
who go around asking everyone if they are “born again,” need to ask themselves
– “If I am born again, then who exactly is my spiritual mother?” Unless one is an artificial, or test-tube
Christian who doesn’t need a mother, all people who are born again need to have
a spiritual mother, and the answer can be found in Revelation 12:17: “and we
are her (Mary’s) children if we bear testimony to Jesus and obey the
commandments.” If anyone thinks that the word “her” in Revelation 12:17 refers
to Israel and not Mary, then the question becomes, “Does Israel today recognize
Jesus as their savior, and does the modern state of Israel keep all of the
commandments?
Mary
has also appeared many times in the last couple of centuries, to warn us all
about getting right with her Son. The
most famous of her approved (by the Catholic Church) appearances was at Fatima,
Portugal. Here she warned us in 1917 about the coming Communist and godless
revolution that would be sweeping the world. Her last appearance in October 1917 was just a few
days before the antichrist Bolshevik Revolution in Russia.
Interestingly, Communism in Europe began with a godless workers' revolt
in the streets of Russia in 1917, and ended with a Catholic workers’ revolt in
the streets of Poland (the most Marian country in the world) in 1989. Marian
Solidarity therefore overcame godless Bolshevism. The largest public miracle
ever witnessed occurred at Fatima, a dancing sun that not only appeared to be
falling from the sky, as if it was going to crash into the earth, but also a
pulsating rainbow sun that dried up all of the soaked ground and the very wet
people in attendance there. This miracle was documented in the local newspaper, run by the Freemasons, of all people.
One of her other predictions was that another more horrible war would
occur in the future (WWI was going on at that time), if people did not repent.
Sure enough, in 1939, Germany attacked Poland, and WWII was on. The United
States was attacked by the Japanese on December 7, 1941. But in Japan, it was
already December 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Japan surrendered
on August 15th, 1945, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
As Gabriel said in Luke 1:28, “HAIL, FULL OF GRACE.” kecharitomene," which means "you who have been filled with grace." That is why Mary was so troubled about the greeting! She was given a royal greeting (Hail is a royal greeting, as in "Hail Caesar," or "Hail King of the Jews") by an angel from heaven pronouncing that she had already been filled with grace! So we should all imitate Gabriel, who is a messenger of God, by saying “HAIL MARY” every day, because the bible says that “all generations SHALL call her blessed (Luke 1:48), which is the fulfillment of her coronation prophecy in Psalm 45:17! St. Louis de Montfort once said that just as Jesus came into the world physically through Mary the first time, just so, he will come into the world the second time spiritually through Mary, which would explain all of her approved apparitions over the last 2 centuries!
Jesus Christ incorporated the New Covenant during the First Eucharist meal, commonly known as the Last Supper. A covenant relationship is a family relationship, where people from different families become as one family. This is opposed to a contractual relationship, like exchanging goods and services for money. An example of a covenant relationship on earth is marriage, where the two become one flesh. The exact same thing happens during the Eucharist, where Jesus and we become one flesh, because we now have the body and blood of Christ within us. We also become a type of Mary, who likewise had Jesus inside of her body, for 9 months. Covenant relationships also mean that in-laws are now family members. Another example of a covenant relationship is adoption, where an unwanted child becomes your child, with your last name, and all the rights and benefits to your inheritance. This is EXACTLY what happens to Christians when we are baptized – we go from being pagans to becoming a child of God, with God as our Father, Jesus as our Savior, and the Holy Spirit as our advocate. And along with God goes the bride of the Holy Spirit and the mother of Jesus, Mary. So many Protestants reject this family relationship, mistakenly thinking that it’s only God and Jesus who they are covenanted with. But that isn’t the way it works in earthly families. When you are married to your spouse, you get her family as well, including HER MOTHER. When you adopt a child, he gets your entire family too, including YOUR MOTHER! This is why Jesus says to his beloved disciples in John 19:27, "BEHOLD YOUR MOTHER!" And if we today want to be a beloved disciple of Christ, as John was, we should imitate John and not only take Mary into our home, but into our heart as well.
Psalm 45 is a psalm that talks about the King of Kings, Jesus, and his bride in heaven, Mary. Psalm 45:17 says that God will make her name known in all generations, which is a foreshadowing of Mary's similar prophecy/command in Luke 1:48 - "All generations to come SHALL call me blessed!"
Finally, it just makes sense to go to Christ in the exact same way that He came to us, through Mary. He could have chosen thousands of different ways to come to us, but He chose Mary. The three Wisemen worshiped Jesus as Mary was holding him. Wise men today seek Jesus in exactly the same way.
As Gabriel once said, HAIL FULL OF GRACE!
AMEN!
